It's my latest favorite discovery and now, my latest import delivered from the
UK where sex is more freely spoken about, "naughty" is more accepted, and being
"cheeky" is always in style. Mainstream America and it's media... well, it's got
a lot of catching up to do. Scarlet mag is here to stand beside
Playgirl
and cry out "women are sexual beings too!"

I've been very eager to introduce you to "the magazine
that turns women on." It was a call for submissions that initially
introduced me to Scarlet. There's a lot of good reading and content on
the mag's site
to fill you in on all the details, to share why this magazine is taking the UK
women's publication circuit by storm. It's "the first magazine catering to
female sexuality in the same way that men’s magazines have been looking after
the boys for years." It's an xxx-rated version of Cosmopolitan, a version
of Playgirl focusing on edgy written content more than sexy male bodies.
The site and motto of the mag reeled me in. I submitted an article to
contribute to Scarlet's Cliterature section and
subscribed to enjoy the content myself. UK residents have the opportunity to
pick up an annual subscription or even the tempting Pleasure Pack that delivers
all kinds of adult goodies along with your subscription. Overseas residents can
"pay as you go" with a monthly rate. And that extra expense is something I've
completely overlooked since having the opportunity to take a peek inside the
print mag itself. I've enjoyed three issues so far, and I'm hooked.
There's nothing like
Scarlet on offer here in the US,
possibly not in the entire world. And it's wonderful to have that much more
variety to choose from, to build a real comprehensive collection of adult
material for women. Scarlet is the ideal companion to enjoy right
alongside your monthly does of Playgirl. And, boy, am I enjoying my two
monthly companions in porn-for-women!

Why should you hop online, make a trip to the local
newsstand, or go out of your way to peek inside an issue of
Scarlet?
- Each issue contains well over 25 pages of written
erotica. There are readers' confessions and fantasies, fiction tales,
excerpts from actual sex blogs and naughty chat conversations, and men's own
fantasies to share what they really want.
- There's a complimentary celeb "Gratuitous Letch"
in every issue. No, this ain't your Playgirl; it's softcore, no cocks
visible. But it's hot and a great tease we can all appreciate, and it's
sometimes delivered in two-page centerfold style. And some are European
hotties we wouldn't otherwise even have the chance to know about here in the
US.
- It appeals to the girl in you that still gets a
kick out of Cosmo but has grown way past that stereotypical,
male-centric bullshit and those meaningless quizzes. There's fashion, fun
and usable information in articles like "What Your Orgasms Say About You,"
cut-out-and-keep goodies, and sexual how-to. The editors even bring you the
best of the gay mags in each issue, making sure we don't miss out on any
sexy content that may appeal to a sexually aware woman.
- It's incredibly edgy compared to your
typical women's reading. Scarlet's features resemble Hustler's
content but covering topics of more interest to women. Those UK writers and
editors tell it how it is, complete with the terms and language that get the
points across. They're cheeky little birds.
- You'll actually learn something
new about sex
in every issue. Only by reading recent issues have I realized that "fisting"
isn't what I thought it was and is actually something I might wanna try and
that "figging" is a new sexual practice entering the kinky world of play.
- You don't want to miss the "Emily-at-Large"
column. Emily, of Scarlet's staff, is sent out monthly for
some new experience truly challenging her hesitant self and writes a
firsthand account of what some new sexual trend or hot spot is really about.
This month, she goes to a naked disco in London where everyone does the club
thing completely nude. In previous issues, she's had artistic molds of her
naughty bits made and goes to class to learn to talk dirty.
- It contains practical information for the sexual
woman that you can apply to your sex life this very moment... and
impress the hell out of your lover with. Recent articles have covered just
how to have sex in a car, complete with diagrams, how to make the best of
sex in the great outdoors, and how to give the perfect hand job.
- This is the most fun way to get your sex news
and keep up on the very latest happening in sexual society all over the
world. Everything I've heard lately, I've read in Scarlet first.
Guys, you don't want to miss hearing the latest either. Did you know there's
a guy that paints with his penis and is successfully selling his
masterpieces all over the world?
- It's a UK mag. That means that you're
getting exposed to happenings, trends, vocabulary, naked bodies,
information, and even advertisers that US media does not and will not expose
you to. Pick up an issue to broaden your sexual horizons by learning what
the rest of the world is up to and even learn of some fantastic new online
lingerie, sex toy, and other merchants that may have exactly what you've
been in the market for.
- My own true-life tale is printed in the September
issue now available. Flip to page 78 in the Cliterature section for
my confession the editors titled "I Played at Being a Prostitute for My
Man." It's hot! I've also included a scanned copy of the published piece
from the mag itself linked from my
Adult Articles page.
Read through some
feature articles and Cliterature at Scarlet's site now. And I highly
recommend
subscribing. Pair it with your Playgirl, and you'll never need any
other women's magazine.
