No wonder I'm so attracted to men with tattoos! There's scientific evidence to contribute to one of my biggest fetishes, the body art that grabs my attention in all its forms and lures me right in, compelling me to consider any new male acquaintance I might not even have otherwise taken a second glance at. That fact is, tattooed men are sexier. A recent study conducted by the University of Wroclaw statistically compared males with and without tattoos with their own body symmetry. We've all heard before how body symmetry (the more symmetrical, the better) is proportional to a person's overall attractiveness, a byproduct of natural selection and overall genetic quality. We're subconsciously drawn to more symmetrical forms, from the spacing of one's eyes to whether your left breast matches your right (and none of ours do, ha!). Interestingly enough, the researchers themselves believed they'd verify their own collective opinion that it would be the men with less symmetry, less primal attractiveness, that would be the ones with all the tattoos... as if one tattoos himself solely for the purpose of upping his attractiveness quotient... or even hide his known flaws. Ha!
On the contrary, the study concluded that it's actually the naturally more attractive men, those with a higher percentage of overall symmetry, that are the ones that ink themselves in the first place. Hot men get tattoos. Period. Yes, my personal fetish and preference for tattooed men speaks for itself! Interestingly enough, the same study did include women. Yet, the same finding didn't pertain to us. Apparently, we aren't as driven to add to or show off our attractiveness with body art as evolution allows us to be the choosier sex.
