I'm always online, and I'm always seeking out new information. And learning more about the subject of sex is always the most fun. Creating this site alone required a lot of research. I wanted to get a feel for how I related to the world of sex and which topics I wanted to approach. I wanted to see just where my own interests lie and where they do with others. Research is certainly a part of a writer's life as well. We're always gleaning new ideas from one source or another.

And my seedy online research, from the simplest erotic author sites to the most deviant fetishist playgrounds on the web, taught me a great deal. To show you just what a baby I am when it comes to the wild world of sex, here are a few of the terms I wasn't familiar with. Keep in mind, that doesn't mean I haven't already tried them; I just didn't have a name for it...

Golden Shower: the act of urinating during sex, whether it be on, in, under, or just in sight of a partner
Sexpert: one who's gained the reputation of being an expert on sex
Scat: sex play involving shit

And here are a few I just learned today:

Scissor Fight: when two women press their vaginas together by intertwining their legs
Smurf: smacking someone in the face with your penis (and I just heard a friend recently call the same thing "mushroom stamping")
Shocker: A technique of manual pleasure involving inserting the pointing finger and middle finger in the vagina and the pinky finger in the anus
Sniffer's Row: the row of seats closest to the stage at a strip club
Sexual Surrogate: a counselor who helps with a couple's sexual problems by engaging in sexual activity with them
Switch: someone who can act as either a dominant or submissive during BDSM play
Shrimping: licking or sucking someone's toes during sex
