I'm still hoping and looking forward to mine. A threesome, preferably with two
hot men eager to please me, has definitely been on my sexual experience wish
list for some time. It's going to happen, but now I'm realizing it might not be
all fun. There are consequences, of course... especially if not everyone's
consent is procured before that fun starts... I'm still trying to figure out my own opinion on this latest news story. A lot of facts and info seem to be missing. Then again, that isn't a surprise at all. It is a military story, reported by the military itself.
As far as we know, the basis for the news story itself all occurred during downtime, off-duty hours, personal and private time for the sexually active adults involved. I would like to think that would make something like a threesome limited to the personal and private business of those involved and not something that one's employer, the U.S. Air force in this case, would take an interest in or dare to get involved with. Those pieces of information aren't disclosed to us. All we know is that there was a threesome that may or may not have been fun for all at the time. Two women and one man was involved: Airman 1st Class Ashley N. Rains, Airman Christopher D. Hicks, and a female staff sergeant. The three were stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany, and an alcohol-induced menage a trois took place in Bitburg on September 24th. We don't know the details, only that the military defense and prosecution lawyers argue whether the act(s) was consensual among all three participants. According to Air Force prosecutor Capt. Mike Felsen, "the staff sergeant 'appeared drunk' and slipped 'in and out of consciousness' while Rains and Hicks performed sexual acts with her." According to the report on Military.com, "Rains and Airman Christopher D. Hicks are the only airmen charged in the incident because the Air Force lawyers said the staff sergeant was too drunk to give consent."
Thus, Rains was the first to be brought to trial at her court-martial on Monday during which she pleaded guilty to two indecent acts charges, part of a plea bargain that saved her from punishment for the original charges of rape and sodomy. Her resulting sentence included four months of confinement, and the judge tacked on a reduction to the lowest paygrade for Rains. The defense attorney for Rains, Captain Matthew King, argued the whole situation was actually an incident involving three consenting adults with "various degrees of intoxication." He also says Rains shouldn't have to go to jail for what is just a "drunken threesome." Rains, admittedly embarassed, also read a prepared statement at the trial stating that she's learned from her mistake. Her fellow airman, Hicks, faces more serious charges. He's "been charged with rape and sodomy and will face a court-martial at Spangdahlem Air Base on May 30."
