As it turns out, we're not as free here as the world would like to believe. Nevada is getting a bit conservative. Or rather, pressured to be more conservative. I guess even in America, even when living in the midst of the Mojave desert, it's still a small world after all. Those fuddy duddies in Washington D.C. on the other side of the country are breathing enough heavy and hot air that we feel it tickling the backs of our necks clear over here.

I was looking into the ins and outs of attending a particular party here in town when I came across the surprisingly conservative laws that govern just how we're all permitted to behave here in Las Vegas and throughout the state of Nevada. The folks behind and intending to attend the hottest, most explicit adult party ever to hit Las Vegas aren't too happy about the increasingly constricting laws that govern us.

Here's an excerpt from the website of the 11th Annual Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball, found on the page of their dress code policy. As their content writer states, "The fragile reputation of Las Vegas is at stake after all." Thus, the latest restrictions on us Nevada residents:

"While the moniker "SIN CITY " has served Las Vegas well, the POLITICALLY CORRECT, MORAL CRUSADERS in local government ( PEEPers as noted above) are making their presence felt. The current atmosphere screams, "Please, come to Las Vegas and lose your money, but don't expect to be treated like an Adult!!" Las Vegas, or more specifically, CLARK COUNTY, is being systematically CHILD PROOFED in an effort to ensure that 9 year olds OF ALL AGES will not be offended in any way. Traditional FAMILY VALUES such as gambling, drinking, smoking, in-room strippers, swingers clubs, etc., continue to flourish while events such as ours, where only those over 21 may attend, and no-one is fooled into thinking they're at a family church service, continue to come under intense pressure.

As we are all well aware, it is not difficult to hire someone (or find a "volunteer") to be offended IN ANY SITUATION. While there have been no problems in the past, that doesn't stem the flow of innuendo and misinformation from the "DO GOODER" crew. Recent changes in the CLARK COUNTY STATUTES, specifically targeting our event, have made life in Las Vegas even more CHILDISH. Therefore, we provide for your information (and to COVER OUR ASSES), the following legal descriptions of what will continue to be UNACCEPTABLE behavior at the event, as well as the new child safe regulations of the newly modified, and ever worsening, local PURITANICAL CODE.

A 2005 Attendee Who's Just about Illegal...

1) Nude/Nudity. "Nude" or "nudity" means the showing of the human male or female genitals, pubic area, or anus with less than a fully opaque covering, or the showing of the male genitals in a discernibly turgid state, whether covered or not. For the purposes of this definition, "fully opaque covering" does not include pasties, latex paint, or hair pieces.

2) Topless/Topless Activity. "Topless/topless activity" means the showing of the female breast below a point immediately above the top of the areola with less than a fully opaque covering.

3) Lewd/lewd activity means:

a) The showing or display of the human male or female genitals, pubic area, or anus with less than a fully opaque covering, or the showing of the covered male genitals in a discernibly turgid state for the purposes of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person;

b) The touching of one's own or another person's clothed or unclothed human male or female genitals, pubic area, anus, or female breast(s) for the purposes of arousing or gratifying the sexual desire of any person. The applicable exception to this subsection (b) is the following: (i) An individual may touch her own clothed female breast(s).

c) Any actual act of sexual intercourse, while clothed or unclothed, that includes, but may not be limited to any of the following types of contact; genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, with or between persons of the same sex or opposite sex, any actual act of masturbation, or any actual or simulated act of bestiality or sadomasochistic abuse. For the purpose of this definition, "fully opaque covering" does not include latex paint, pasties, or hair pieces."

And there you have it. Nevada isn't nearly as naughty or naked as you'd like to believe... or as we'd prefer it. There are prostitutes illegally soliciting tourists within the city limits in ever casino and club, but the paying attendees of a private party aren't permitted to let loose a bit.

Hey, but we women are allowed to touch our own clothed breasts in public. Thank goodness. Otherwise, it could be quite interesting when we get a little itch that needs scratching...

I think they're just trying to govern the movement of sexual energy in ley line worldwide..... I think Las Vegas may be lying on a ley line..... where people go to get "laid".... LOL....
