Things are heating up here in Vegas. And no, it's not due to the gathering of geeks and techno-crazed collectors of gadgets gathered for the current consumer electronics expo in town. Those of us who prefer porn to gadgetry - actually, porn with our gadgetry - are gearing up for next week's adult event...

All the building excitement and heightened arousal erupt next week on Wednesday, the 10th. I've got my pen in hand, my camera loaded, and... found some heels I can walk more than an hour or two in. The 2007 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, sponsored by Adult Video News and produced by Home Entertainment Events, for industry tradesmen and fans alike is just five days away. Could there possibly be a more thrilling way to start the year? Hell no!

And it's only right that our own Jenna Jameson, native to Sin City herself, formally opens the event in the suitable, celebratory fashion as the event press release informs us. The leading lady of the adult industry will have her Club Jenna Girls, Brea Bennett, Jesse Capelli, Roxy Jezel, Ashton Moore, Chanel St. James, and Sophia Rossi, on hand to aid in the ceremonious ribbon cutting at 10am on Wednesday, Jan. 10th in front of Hall A at the Sands Expo Center.

Jenna's own Club Jenna Inc. is one of the most successful businesses in the industry and is most recently an acquisition of Playboy Enterprises. "Under Playboy Enterprises, Club Jenna is expected increase its production slate to produce about 30 features in 2007 and expand the way the films are distributed to include not only DVDs, but TV channels, video-on-demand, and mobile phones." Now that's exciting news!
