It occurred to me yesterday that I may (very likely will) soon find myself in
the most unique living situation I've ever been in. Then again, I've had to lay
my head down in some strange locations, at strangers' homes, etc. while
traveling, but I have yet to openly choose to commit to strange living
arrangements for an extended time. |

Blogging seems to persuade the blogger to become focused, have a theme in mind
for the day's publicized thoughts, or grasp one of the many straws of ideas that
happen to be poking up the highest out of your closed fist. But the creative
life isn't really like that. A writer's mind (and I think blogging itself
requires a creative mind despite a lot of bloggers never actually showing
theirs) is consistently flooded with different ideas, and most of them aren't

I came home yesterday afternoon amused, delighted, and happily sharing the
experience of my annual trip to the gynecologist with my partner and my

It's difficult setting up a new blog. You know what's in your head, the ordinary
parts of your life, and the really secret passages that lie within your brain.
There's a wealth of material to choose from, so which do you go with? Do you
pick a point to your blog or is the point you and the blog's just a
reflection of all the inane, mundane, and insane happenings that make you an
individual? |

What would sex be without the element of surprise? I imagine it exists in the
world, but I hope I never have to know it.
Sex is play, an act involving young senses finely tuned to new discoveries,
insight, and subtleties. It should be approached, with little distracting
thought, like living. It should exist in the moment with all senses focused and
heightened and nothing distracted by past or present. |

Few things are more satisfying, especially to a writer, than knowing you're
being heard. Startling though, is realizing you're being heard by an unintended
audience. Not one day after I write my blog entry about the surprising rejection
of my application to the
Cunning Linguists directory, I receive a message from one of the admins
working behind the scenes there. |
