I'm used to living the boxed life. I lost count of all the household moves I've made since birth when I had already counted to 24+ moves and I was only 20 years old. I love change, and I don't mind that feeling of "camping out" in your own home when everything's gone or packed or all in disarray. And here I am, up to my neck in boxes once again.
Oh, but this move has been a hard one... a little due to necessity dictating a move when I've just been way too damn busy to go through it all... and a LOT due to the lack of air conditioning in my new apartment. Yes, there has been NO air conditioning in my home in this infamous desert environment for four days now. I'm sticky, dirty, tired, sore, a bit whiny, bruised, cut, and finding that too much heat can even make your own brain inoperable.
At 4pm this afternoon, the temperature inside my apartment peaked at 106 degrees Fahrenheit. No joke. I've been in survival mode the last few days, forcing myself to plow through the boxes and attempt to put my household back together again despite the harsh environment. People aren't supposed to be expected to live in this kind of climate and even my poor little kitty gave me a scare when I saw him crashed on the floor and panting like a dog with his mouth hanging open.
A bit scary, but great makings for the necessity to be half-nekkid. I've been running around in bikini tops and short skirts for days, down to just a bra and skirt today.
 Buried in Boxes
That was then... and now, since about 5pm just this afternoon when the a/c repairman finally came to our rescue, the temperature has been slowly lowering. When the internal temp of my apartment reached 98, I was actually starting to feel cool. That's how much I'd adapted to the higher temps over the last few days. It's just below 90 finally now and... I'm feeling nearly human again. When I wake up tomorrow, I might even feel like myself again.
That is... after I get over the shock of finding a sexual voyeur outside my bedroom window late last night.... and I think he's my new neighbor. Oh, you know you can expect that full story tomorrow!
Don't forget to check back for next week's Half-Nekkid Thursday shot! You're sure to be pleasantly surprised by seeing yet another side of your lovely WebMistress. I'd love to hear just what you would like to see.

And if you decide to join in the fun or have left a special HNT post on your own site, leave a comment here so we can all take a peek. What's more fun than being creatively half-nekkid together?
