At one point, I didn't believe something as simple as an herb or a morsel of
food that's normally eaten could have any effect on sexual desire or eagerness
to get into the sack with your date. But I'm beginning to change my mind,
because I do know how chocolate makes me feel.
Modern research has discovered that some of the most well known foods do actually act as aphrodisiacs due to containing specific vitamins and minerals contributing to a healthy reproductive system and possibly your libido as well. Watch for foods high in zinc to help in producing testosterone and those high in vitamin E, which is a known sex hormone stimulant. Capsaicin, the "kick" in chilies and peppers, curries and other spicy foods, starts with raising your heart rate and contributes to the release of pleasurable endorphins. Can you be sexually aroused by mere smells? You certainly can! Keep grandpa away from the pumpkin pie if grandma's not around to tame him at Thanksgiving dinner, and watch out for the buttered popcorn you're nibbling on at the movie theater if you're male. For women, the smell of licorice is said to peak her sexual interest.
For Women It's now proven. Italian researchers have found that when women indulge in chocolate on a daily basis, their sexual libidos are higher on average than those of women who don't get the delicious treat. Chocolate was also found to induce higher arousal and sexual satisfaction. Chocolate contains small quantities of PEA, otherwise known as phenylethylamine. PEA releases dopamine into our pleasure centers. Consequently, dopamine is also what naturally surges during those lovely orgasms. PEA has been known as also engendering a sense of well being and excitement, which are most certainly conducive to lovemaking. Now, isn't it wonderful that what many of us females crave has been found to have more benefits than we ever imagined? No wonder my sex drive is so high the same week that my body calls for more chocolate treats. Now, my sweetie's got yet another reason to bring home gifts of chocolate. Forget the diets, ladies! You'll lose the weight if you're getting more sexy action.
For Men There are many foods influencing sexuality in one way or another, all enhancing your ability to get it up, get it in, get it on, and ....even make junior. Here are the highlights:
If you feel the need to actually decrease your sexual desire, indulge in fennel or boiled poultry with vinegar. If you want to dry up your sperm, eat a lot of hemp seeds.
