At one point, I didn't believe something as simple as an herb or a morsel of food that's normally eaten could have any effect on sexual desire or eagerness to get into the sack with your date. But I'm beginning to change my mind, because I do know how chocolate makes me feel.

Modern research has discovered that some of the most well known foods do actually act as aphrodisiacs due to containing specific vitamins and minerals contributing to a healthy reproductive system and possibly your libido as well. Watch for foods high in zinc to help in producing testosterone and those high in vitamin E, which is a known sex hormone stimulant. Capsaicin, the "kick" in chilies and peppers, curries and other spicy foods, starts with raising your heart rate and contributes to the release of pleasurable endorphins.

Can you be sexually aroused by mere smells? You certainly can! Keep grandpa away from the pumpkin pie if grandma's not around to tame him at Thanksgiving dinner, and watch out for the buttered popcorn you're nibbling on at the movie theater if you're male.
