Do you mind if I continue the theme of beautiful, bouncing breasts for this
month? I didn't think you'd mind... and we're all eager to focus this month on
the necessity of breast cancer awareness and research anyway we can. So, let's
talk boobs... and all the wonderful shapes, sizes, and forms they come in... We have Professor Fate himself to thank for passing along this little article and bit of information to me. It's a celebration of bountiful breasts this month! Let's continue with a look into the science of sizes. LiveScience published an article on the subject of the average American woman's bust size. What about the average non-American woman's bust size? Well, I guess we'll all have to leave that up to our own imaginations for the time being... not that we mind.
Supposedly, research reports that average bust size has increased from 34B to 36C in just the last 15 years... but the research doesn't differentiate between natural breasts and synthetically augmented boobs. And here's a little more info about just that which fills the various cup sizes and that I never knew... A cup—8 fluid ounces (238 milliliters) What about my own DD (and sometimes G) cup size? Again, it must be left to my imagination, I guess. But it's very cool to think of boobs in terms of weighty ounces.
As the article continues to report, "bras must support a pair of breasts that can weigh just over a half pound (0.3 kilograms) to a whopping 20 pounds (9 kilograms)." Wow! I always wondered what mine weigh, knowing there must be a massive burden on my poor bras. There's much more info to be learned about bras themselves in the brief article. I just don't care to think anymore about it... like the caterpillar spit. Click on over, and read it for yourself. Right now, I think I'm gonna go love on my breasts a bit. You know what I mean.
I love my boobs! If you love 'em too, be sure to check out all the great boob-friendly organizations listed on the front page of the Blogger Boobie-Thon site and pay them a visit or a donation.
