About Breasts: When a Charity Doesn't Really Care

It all began when I was checking out a sex discussion forum last night that was recommended in my latest issue of Playgirl. As the web works, I was led to a few other good links from there, one of them being for an adult site working alongside a very good cause: Breast Cancer Awareness.

We all understand the need for increased awareness about the danger breast cancer presents for both women and men. You've seen the pink ribbons representing the cause and the prevention message reaching across the globe as it never has before. Though this particular cancer has never made its mark on my own family, other types have, and darnit, I love my boobs! I want to keep them around for a while.

So, when one professional site is encouraging its own visitors to check out another adult site for the sake of charity, I'm there. Well, what really got my attention and sold me was that this second site was soliciting photos of women flashing their beautiful breasts in exchange for a donation made on their behalf to a breast cancer awareness fund. "What the hell!" I thought and fully intended to survey the site thoroughly and expected I'd soon have my own waist-up photo zipped off in email for a worthy cause and a little right to brag about my newly discovered exhibitionist tendencies.

Yet, that's not going to happen, and this site is no longer fighting for a great cause. Why? Well, the notice is right there on the homepage of Let the Puppies Out.

Great name, don't ya think? The site showcases nothing but breasts, tits, and boobs of all shapes and sizes for your voyeuristic pleasure. There are amateurs who have a flashing fetish and never made it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras to do it properly as well as pros with fabulously fake knockers. In fact, I had a great time browsing around solely because there is such a delicious variety of real boobs, just like my own. You can even rate your favorite pair and help some anonymous woman's self-esteem heighten.

The site's companion purpose is to free those "puppies" from the confines of their t-shirts, bras, tube tops, bikinis, and other nonsensical bindings. And if you donate a pic (which I may still do), an amount of money is dropped into the fund to be donated to.......well, they don't currently have a charity to donate too. The site owners are intent on helping a worthy cause and are still diligently saving up their promised and dedicated fund for the purposes of promoting the awareness and prevention of breast cancer. But their former charity has dumped them as a donator.

Yes, the Against Breast Cancer charity, apparently based in the UK, has kindly informed the site that they will no longer accept their donations. Read the story for yourself. In fact, Let the Puppies Out has been diligently searching for a new breast cancer charity, phoned all the big charity funds, and has still come up short. The amount they've been saving to donate, as promised to all those lovely women who bared their breasts for the world to see, is still sitting unused and now, unwanted.

Apparently, the initial fund doesn't want money gathered through an adult site, which respects and honors the very mammaries that the charity itself claims the desire to protect. Cancer UK doesn't want the money either...not unless the site is willing to donate only to the general cancer fund instead of specifically breast cancer and be willing to not receive a receipt. In other words, Cancer UK doesn't want Let the Puppies Out to be able to even prove they ever donated any money to begin with. Other charities have denied the site's donation because of their advertising affiliations or because they place a minimum amount guideline on donations.

All I can say is, "You've got to be kidding me!" Since when does a charity not except donations?
