Lunch with a View

Every day, it was the same. Every day, he’d have his lunch at the same outdoor café, sit at the same table, and sip the same coffee while silently hoping to wake himself from his very own life.

There wasn’t a single highlight of his solitary existence. Except for her.

She sat, almost regularly, a number of tables from his own. She was a stranger he’d memorized every physical detail of, courtesy of the skewed view out of the corner of his eye.

She was divinely designed, a professionally dressed figure. She always wore a pencil skirt with a long slit in the back allowing her to sit noticeably casually and comfortably. He’d notice the clean shave of her tan legs, take in the shape of her knees, note the shade of the shadow crawling up her slightly parted thighs.

She’d chat and laugh with her mobile phone and smile into the distance. She’d play with the plastic straw in her beverage and lose herself in her own exhilarating and lively world.

That’s when he’d brave the depths of that dark cavern beyond the hem of her starched skirt. There was always at least one generously, remarkably, and completely unearned glimpse of the beautiful V of her crotch offered. Pure heaven.

Today was the very same. He sipped his coffee, sat at his table, nibbled at his lunch.

And his eyes traveled to the stranger’s feet, sliding up her shapely calves, changing direction at her knees, and navigating along her bare thighs. Her panties appeared, marking the end of his usual journey. Then, he noticed something odd.

“Say hello” was scribbled across her crotch.
